For most students, the Charms ID is the first initial and last name of the student, all small letters and no spaces.  At this site you will be able to check the band calendar of events, download handouts, check for important announcements, and by using your student’s “Charms ID”, you can check and update your contact information, download permission slips, and check your band activity fee status.   We hope you will use this site to help the Band Director and the SFMS Band Booster Club communicate with you in a timely and accurate way. Ron Turner is in his 33rd year of teaching band.  He has taught band in grades 6 through 12 and his bands have won awards in St. Louis, Branson, Gatlinburg, , Nashville, Orlando, Atlanta, and Dallas.  He has served as a clinician and adjudicator in Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  Mr. Turner is a member and ex-officer of West Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Association (WTSBOA).  He has been All-State Tennessee Jazz Band Chairperson and has chaired numerous events for WTSBOA.   He is also a member of Music Educators National Conference and Phi Beta Mu, a national honorary bandmasters fraternity.  With his wife Paula Turner, he was the co-conductor of the Bartlett Community Concert Band for almost 10 years.
